ROHS test
RoHS certification is the English abbreviation of the Directive on Restricting the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment. ROHS certification, also known as environmental certification, meets European and American standards. The EU prohibits the import of hazardous heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, mercury, chromium hexavalent, polybrominated diphenyl ether and polybrominated biphenyl in electrical and electronic products. RoHS is a mandatory standard enacted by EU legislation and its full name is the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive on Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Components in Electrical and Electronic Equipment. This standard has been formally implemented since July 1, 2006. It is mainly used to standardize the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, making them more conducive to human health and environmental protection. The purpose of this standard is to eliminate lead, mercury, cadmiu

一:New European Directive

(ROHS Directive) 2011/65/EU

The new directive 2011/65/EU (ROHS 2.0) replaces the new directive 2002/95/EC and takes effect on July 21, 2011.(Note! The term "Effective" here refers to the RoHS 2.0 Directive which will take effect on July 21, 2011 for all EU member states. Member States must complete the conversion of RoHS 2.0 Directive into their internal regulations from July 21, 2011 to January 2, 2013! However, for the period from July 21, 2011 to January 2, 2013, enterprises still need to comply with the 2002/95/EC Directive.

European RoHS 2011/65/EU requires 10 items to be tested and the directive becomes RoHS 2.0

二:The ten harmful substances of ROHS 2.0 are as follows:

1:Lead (Pb), examples of using this substance: solder, glass, PVC stabilizer

2:Small household appliances: vacuum cleaners, irons, hairdryers, ovens, clocks, etc.

3:Examples of mercury (Hg), (mercury) use of this substance: thermostats, sensors, switches and relays, light bulbs

4:Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), an example of using this substance: metal with corrosive coating

5:Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), examples of using this substance: flame retardants, pcb, connectors, plastic housing

6:Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), examples of using this substance: flame retardants, pcb, connectors, plastic housing

7:Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP), used as a plasticizer for PVC, as a substitute for DBP, and as plasticizers for cellulose resins, vinyl resins, nitrile rubber and neoprene rubber

8:Phthalic acid (2-ethylhexyl ester) (DEHP), mainly used as PVC plasticizer, PVC in electrical and electronic equipment as insulators such as cables and wires. Small amounts of DEHP are used in other non-polymer applications such as ceramics for electronic products or electrolytes for capacitors

9:Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), mainly used in combination with other plasticizers in PVC components such as cables, sockets, tubes, shock absorbers, as well as in some non-polymers such as paints, adhesives, sealants and printing ink

10:Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), mainly used as plasticizer in PVC floors, may be present in synthetic leather, textile coatings, PVC materials, printing ink, sealants and adhesives in electrical and electronic equipment

三:Applicable product range:

The RoHS Directive covers electronic and electrical products listed in the catalogue below AC1000V and DC1500V:

1:Large household appliances: refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, air conditioning, etc.

2:Small household appliances: vacuum cleaners, irons, hairdryers, ovens, clocks, etc.

3:IT and communication instruments: computers, faxes, telephones, mobile phones, etc.

4:Civil Devices: Radio, TV, VCR, Musical Instruments, etc.

5:Lighting fixtures: fluorescent lamps, etc. in addition to household lighting, lighting control devices

6:Electric tools: electric drill, lathe, welding, sprayer, etc.

7:Toys/Entertainment, Sports Equipment: Electric Vehicles, TV Gaming Machines, Auto Gambling Machines, etc.

8:Medical Devices: Radiotherapy Apparatus, ECG Tester, Analysis Apparatus, etc.

9:Monitor/Control Devices: Smoke Detector, Thermostat, Factory Monitor Controller, etc.

10:Vending machine

11:semiconductor device

It includes not only the whole product, but also the parts, raw materials and packaging used in the production of the whole machine, which is related to the whole production chain.
