Products involved in ATEX certification:
1.ATEX Certified Electrical Equipment: Electrical equipment refers to equipment that contains electronic components for generating, storing, distributing, converting or controlling energy use.
2.ATEX Certified Non-Electrical Equipment: Only mechanically moving equipment that generates ignition sources (e.g. hot surfaces, friction sparks, etc.) such as decelerators, fans, compressors, brakes, mixers. Non-electrical equipment is usually connected to electrical equipment to provide kinetic energy.
The ATEX directive classifies devices into three categories based on their level of protection:
Category 1 - Very high level of protection
Category 2 - High level of protection
Category 3 - Normal level of protection
If the device is used in zones 0, 1 or 2, the category number is followed by the letter G (gas, vapor/mist):

Class I Equipment (Mine Equipment: Classes M1 and M2) - Equipment for underground parts of mines and equipment for underground parts of Mines
Class II Equipment (Non-mining Equipment: Class 1, Class 2, Class 3) - Equipment used in other places where danger arises from an explosive environment.Production enterprises need to determine the product explosion-proof details before certification, such as:Explosion-proof type, mining or non-mining, equipment category, gas group, temperature group, equipment protection level;
2.Production enterprises confirm explosion-proof mode, usually using B+E mode, most of which are single B mode, or according to the quantity of orders, can also use single G mode.;
When confirming that products will not be exported to the international market for the time being, we recommend a more economical way to use B mode, which is the type test approval certificate, which can meet the requirements of domestic customers and tenders.
If you need to meet the requirements of both domestic customers and the EU market, use B+E mode.That is, type test approval certificate + product quality assurance system
